Confidentiality Policy
This webpage consists of the Confidential Policy of GoodFund
and is aimed at establishing an organisation-wide framework
on its expectations on staff use of customers’ information.
GoodFund has a responsibility to ensure that its staff comply
with these requirements on confidentiality in their use of
customers’ information.
This policy is applicable to current and future employees
and apply to all information currently in use and those that
are to be collected in the future. They will be reviewed with
new employees and their key elements and impact discussed.
All employees will be required to sign a statement signifying
that they have read, understood and will follow the provisions
of this policy.
As part of GoodFund’s continuous commitment to providing
high quality services we abide by the following confidentiality
policy for all service provided to our customers. We place
the highest priority on ensuring the security and confidentiality
of data pertaining to each customer.
GoodFund is aware that our customers have entrusted us with
their financial information and accounts, and this imposes
a duty on us to collect, use, store and manage such information
with confidentiality. This policy assures that GoodFund maintains,
in the strictest confidence, all clients’ personal and
confidential information.
Purpose of the Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all staff of
GoodFund maintain the confidentiality of information obtained
while providing services to existing and potential customers.
The policy applies to all personnel involved in the activities
of the organisation and imposes a duty on them to maintain
the confidentiality of information obtained as a consequence
of their involvement in the different elements of our corporate
activities.
Protecting Customers’ Confidential Information
Our commitment is to protect any financial or confidential
information customers and visitors might supply to us with
the same strict standards of security and confidentiality
we employ in all customer relationships.
Maintaining strict security and confidentiality standards
for customers’ financial and confidential information
is one of our key responsibilities. Since our most important
asset is the trust and confidence of our customers, keeping
their information confidential and using it only as they would
wish us to is a top priority for GoodFund.
GoodFund employs and continually assesses state-of-the-art
technology and other security measures to protect personal
information from unauthorised disclosure or usage. GoodFund
shall retain records it receives and holds that relate to
its customers in a confidential manner. In order to guard
against inappropriate disclosure of its current and potential
clients, the company shall restrict access to its employees,
auditors and consultants who need to know such information
and who are bound by the Privacy and Confidentiality Policies
of the company. The organisation will maintain physical, electronic,
and procedural safeguards to ensure restricted access, use
and disclosure of such information.
Non-disclosure of Confidential Information
GoodFund agrees not to use any confidential information disclosed
to it by its customers for unauthorised use or for any purpose
other than to carry out transactions to give effect to the
purpose for which the information was given. GoodFund will
not disclose any confidential information other than to its
employees or agents who are subject to this confidentiality
policy and who are required to have the information in order
to perform functions which relate to the services provided
to the company’s customers.
GoodFund agrees that it will take all reasonable measures
to protect the secrecy of and avoid disclosure of the customers’
confidential information in order to prevent it from falling
into the public domain. Appropriate measures will be taken
by the company to ensure that customers’ information
do not fall into the possession of persons other than those
authorised to use the information. Such measures shall include
the highest degree of care that the company utilises to
protect its own confidential information of a similar nature.
This company shall hold all confidential information received
from all our customers in strict confidence and shall ensure
that all of its employees, directors, agents, consultants,
advisers and other third parties, who are given access to
confidential information on a "need to know" basis,
do likewise.
However, the company shall not be liable for a disclosure
to others, of the customers’ confidential information
that:
- was generally available to the public prior to receipt
by GoodFund or that becomes generally available to the
public through no act or failure to act on the part of
the company, its employees, directors, agents, consultants,
advisers.
Customers’ Role in Protecting Their Confidential
Information
GoodFund works hard to protect customers’ confidentiality,
however, all customers are also instrumental in protecting
their own personal information. To help keep customers’
information secure and confidential, we recommend that they:
- Keep their ID or password confidential;
- Sign off once you have completed a secure online session;
- Provide their Access ID only when their browser shows
an encrypted connection directly to GoodFund .
