Postcode Lottery
The Postcode Lottery has hit the streets of the North East of England! This lottery has
a unique concept where your postcode becomes your lottery ticket. It is a subscription
lottery in which you can win not only individual prizes but also with your neighbours
the street and district prizes. Visit the Postcode Lottery website to find out how to play.
The Postcode Lottery is a tremendously successful charity lottery in The Netherlands and Sweden.
In The Netherlands 40% of households play and the organisation has paid out around £2 billion to charities and nearly £1 billion to prize winners.
GoodFund and the Postcode Lottery
GoodFund is a registered charity and a Lottery Promoter in England and Wales.
We have appointed the Postcode Lottery Ltd to operate a charity lottery in the North East of England on our behalf.
Initially Postcode Lottery will divide revenues as follows and
as agreed by the Gambling Commission:
• 45% is paid to winners in cash and prizes
• 35% is paid to the Postcode Lottery Ltd for its operating services
• 20% of the net revenues goes to charities
The money paid to the Postcode Lottery to run the lottery will decrease over time which will result in more money for charities and prizes.
Included in the operating cost is 3% for royalties and fees. These are paid to Novamedia BV, the licence holder and investor of the Postcode Lottery concept.
